For my 144 project, I went with the creepy route. At first, I wasn't going to do this shadowbox technique. I was just going to sketch it out and draw with charcoal. I got this idea from browsing on Facebook. It was hard at first, making sure I cut deep enough into the paper and that I didn't cut too far or tear it. I hot glued everything in the box, and placed a thick strip f cardboard behind Belles head to keep it form flopping back. I tried spray-painting the box, but that didn't go so well so I taped it all with masking tape and used slightly watered down acrylic paint. I did the same with the inside before gluing everything. Once everything was set, I went through with red paint to make some blood details. After everything was set and dried, I poked the lights into the back and once lit up, it makes a shadow effect. |
